Real Weddings at Oakley Hall Hotel

We loved it from when we first viewed 5-6 months before the wedding date. Beautiful venue and grounds which really appealed both for photo locations and for guests including kids to enjoy themselves.

What made Oakley Hall stand out for you as a wedding venue?

We went with mixed colours in the bouquet and a bit of a pink theme over cake and other sweets (macarons and Indian sweets). Having access to Oakley Hall suppliers was great for ideas and otherwise just Google and Pinterest and wanting a seasonal look, not too complex.

What inspired you to choose the decor & colour scheme of your wedding?

Everything really. Seeing the room dressed up with all flowers and the cake etc out was quite a wow moment, the events manager brought us in to see before the other guests came through from outside. The food was also great.

What was the most memorable part of your day?

Under the trees and among the flowers outside. We also had a few photos in front of the arch.

Where was your favourite photo spot?

The events team Tim and Zoe, and all their team, were great and nothing was too much trouble. They kept us informed throughout without being overbearing. They really do think of everything and allowed us and family to enjoy ourselves and not worry.

What made your day extra special?

We did it in about 5-6 months (5 months from booking of Oakley hall) so it can be done! Relax and enjoy yourselves it's not meant to be stressful. My tip is work out which elements are most important to you and concentrate on those. All our guests have said what a great time they had and that's the important thing, plus we had an amazing day!
