Boxing Day Dinner Hampshire
Indulge in a sumptuous Boxing Day Roast
Our restaurant in Hampshire is open on Boxing Day to serve a delicious roast for you and your family
Relax & unwind after Christmas with a delicious Roast dinner in the Glasshouse Restaurant. The tradition of the Sunday Roast is thought to have originated back in 15th century during the reign of King Henry VII. It is believed that the King's guards would enjoy a roast dinner every Sunday after church, which is where the term 'Beefeaters' came from! So what better way is there to celebrate Christmas than by following this 500 year old tradition?
Our Boxing Day Lunch and Boxing Day Dinner is the perfect excuse to get together. Whether you're continuing your Christmas celebrations for a few more days or looking to slow down the festivities with a relaxing meal, the Glasshouse Restaurant is the perfect setting for all. Our menus will include the roast dinner classics (not forgetting Yorkshire puddings, gravy and crispy roast potatoes!), but also a few other dishes if you fancy something different. Our kitchen team strive to create dishes which are flexible to those with dietary preferences, allergies and intolerances, so we can prepare gluten free, vegan & vegetarian roast dinners.
And why not enjoy a peaceful post roast walk in our grounds. Take to the countryside with your family, friends, little ones and even your canine companions for a beautiful & refreshing walk amongst Oakley Hall's gardens & woodlands.
