Wedding Trends in 2024

Wedding Trends to note this year

When planning your wedding day, it’s only natural to wonder where others are hosting their special day and why they chose their venue. From the likes of Instagram influencers and A-list celebrities to your close friends and family, there’s a reason they selected their wedding venue and we’ll help you discover why!

According to the Bridebook Wedding Report, country house and hotel wedding venues make up a combined percentage of 34% of venues booked in 2024 (based on approximately 3,000 couples who took the survey). That’s a third of all couples who have booked their venues! And although we may be bias, we can’t say we blame them. Oakley Hall is the perfect combination of both country house and hotel. The tranquil Hampshire setting that our property is located in is a true testament to quintessential English countryside manors with a sweeping driveway, manicured gardens and elegant Georgian features. But in addition to a breathtaking property, Oakley Hall is home to 50 bedrooms and suites as well as an award-winning restaurant. So whilst your wedding will be held at a one-of-a-kind wedding venue with a unique history expanding to the 1600’s, you and your guests will be more than comfortable after the celebrations with luxurious overnight stays and fully cooked English breakfasts served to you in the morning.

What else comes with a countryside manor? You guessed it, the countryside! Oakley Hall is home to over 300 acres of private grounds, ranging from immaculate gardens and magical woodlands to wide open fields and farmland – so you will never be short of space or variety when it comes to capturing your moments. Picture walking hand in hand at golden hour throughout our gardens, embracing with breathtaking views of the Hampshire countryside behind you or even popping a smoke bomb within our woods for dramatic effect!

And unsurprisingly, many of our couples choose to partner their colour schemes to the surrounding countryside which ties the venue and nature together as a whole. Sage greens to match the hues of the grass and plants, a dash of purple to partner with the wisteria trailing along the Georgian architecture or delicate pinks in suit with the beautiful flowers dotted around the grounds.

With over 20 years of experience in the wedding industry, we understand the importance of individuality, exclusivity and personalisation for your special day. Whilst Oakley Hall is a beautiful property in itself, it’s also an incredibly versatile space which allows it to be tailored and adapted to every couples’ needs, whether they be for a small bespoke ceremony or a large wedding celebration for up to 400. So whether you’re looking for a rustic, modern, minimalist or traditional space we have a range of beautiful rooms that you can choose from to say your “I do’s”. And once you have chosen your space, we can’t wait to witness the magic that unfolds during your day.
